e-BizResources Update

April 15, 2005

================================================

Hi friend,

Michael here. Welcome to the latest issue of "e-BizResources Update". I hope you're well.

Will you look at that, we're already half way through April. Where'd the time go? It seems to go more quickly each year!

My wife would probably say something about me being old, even though I'm only 1 year older than she is and we're only in our mid 40s. And I won't even tell you what my kids might say. You can probably guess ;0)

Anyway, for my kids today was the last day of the first term of the school year, and they started two weeks of holidays, or vacation. So, by Monday I'll probably be re-assessing the wisdom of working from home! No, only joking ;0)

That's one of the great advantages of working from home, isn't it? Being able to see more of the family.

Well, I hope that the following will help you on your way to building your own online business.

So, let's get on with it.

1. "7 Days Only" sale - Reminder

A few days ago I sent you an email about the 7 Days Only sale at:

http://www.e-bizresources.com/7daysonly

A number of marketers are offering some excellent products at reduced prices, some pretty heavily reduced.

I know many of you have seen it already, and I want to thank you because the order that the offers are displayed on the page is a result of the number of my referrals and you've kept mine near the top of the page. Thank you.

But, it's only got a couple more days to run, so if you haven't already checked it, out you'd better hurry. Here's the link again:

7 Insider Tips To Joint Venture Success

By Ewen Chia

Most marketers miss out on huge chunks of available profits by not doing enough joint ventures.

It’s the easiest way to leverage on resources you wouldn’t otherwise have.

There’re probably two reasons why joint ventures are not used fully. These are the fear of work and fear of failure. But do you know, you’ve failed in the first place by having this mindset?

While I’m not here to preach, I do want to emphasize, no marketer is ever an island. You’ve got to leverage your time and resources with fellow marketers to improve yourself and to maximize your success.

The magic word here is leverage.

Leverage everything you do, including joint venture, which is one of the most powerful forms of leverage you can ever tap on.

Carry this mindset as you read the rest of this article and apply the 7 basic tips as revealed...

These are the things I learned from my own joint venture experiences and I want to share them with you. It’s not just airy talk. I’ve done it.

For example, if you want to discover how I got 19 top marketers on my side for a product like “Resale Rights Secrets” (http://ResaleRightsSecrets.com), keep your eyes to this article as mentioned.

If you’re all set to create profitable joint ventures, here are the top 7 insider tips to get them going:

Tip 1: Be Sincere And Build Relationships

I live by the principle that basic courtesy and sincerity is a must in any relationship, especially with your joint venture partners.

Be sincere. Be courteous. Be honest.

Trust begets trust.

Don’t look at your potential partner as just someone you can tap on, build the contact with sincerity and friendliness.

This way you can build a relationship to last a lifetime, as opposed to a one-time partnership.

Tip 2: Think Long-Term

This follows closely to the above setting of building relationships.

You can joint venture continuously whenever each one has a beneficial product or promotion. The key’s to create joint ventures for life, not just once off.

Tip 3: Don’t Give Up

I know it’s disappointing when you don’t get responses from potential joint ventures partners. But don’t forsake the cause because of a few failures, you may never know when you hit the goldmine.

It’s the same as looking for a job. While you won’t get every interview you sent out for, getting the one good one is what’s important.

Spread your eggs and just do it. Contact as many potential partners as you can and you’ll surely get results.

Tip 4: Always Be On The Lookout For Opportunities

Another way to make joint ventures work for you is to participate in them instead. Like yourself, many marketers are also looking for partners to work with, the problem’s where do you find them?

Forums. Forums are the absolute best places to network and seek like-minded people for potential joint ventures.

There’s no advertising cost and you can be on the frontline of new opportunities simply by scanning forums in your niche.

Here’s a list of high traffic marketing forums you can tap on:

http://www.expage.com/hightrafficforums

Or simply join the internet marketers’ inner circle group called the Warrior Forum. The exposure and benefits you can get from there are tremendous.

While it’s a private forum, you can get a complimentary secret pass through “Money & Power: An Interview With Allen Says”.

Allen’s also the founder of the Warrior Forum and you can find him actively moderating the forum there too:

http://InstantMarketingSecrets.com/moneypower/

Tip 5: Be Clear In Your Communication

When you’re approaching potential joint venture partners, it’s very important not to beat about the bush or sound overly hyped-up.

Tell them the basic proposal and what they can gain, and leave out the big details unless they request for more information.

The phrase “Short, Sweet And Simple” couldn’t be more relevant here.

Tip 6: Be Different

In order to get profitable joint ventures set up, you need to be different.

This is especially true if you were to approach the big names. They get tons of joint venture proposals daily, and what’s to make them accept yours?

Be different. Give them something others are not offering.

I really personalize my proposals and lay out the biggest benefits they can get out of a one-time effort.

For example, one major benefit out of many I gave was master resale rights and 100% profits for “Resale Rights Secrets” (http://ResaleRightsSecrets.com)

No one was doing what I did, so it became unique.

Tip 7: Be Irresistible

The last thing I learned was the importance of packaging irresistible offers, even for joint ventures partners.

Treat them like the customer. Create irresistible deals to get the joint venture going. Provide a host of benefits and be responsive. Every one enjoys being treated well, especially valued joint venture partners.

Well I’ll be rounding up here, hope you found these tips to be useful. Now go for those joint ventures!

4. The Lighter Side of Life #1

It's all in the punctuation:

An English professor wrote the words, "Woman without her man is nothing" on the blackboard and directed his students to punctuate it correctly.

The men wrote: "Woman, without her man, is nothing."

The women wrote: "Woman: Without her, man is nothing."

Is 'Complex Equivalence' Hindering Your Online Success?

by Jo Han Mok, Midas Touch Marketing

Complex equivalence is one the greatest stumbling

blocks to Online success.

Has this thought ever crossed your mind?

Success in Internet Marketing equals being a techno

whiz, being able to install any script under the sun,

and creating graphics and animation that will put the '

Matrix' to shame?

But what if...the actual equation read like this?

Success in Internet Marketing equals to being

completely rooted in the fundamentals and principles

of direct response marketing and being able to

leverage the world wide web as the ultimate low cost

medium to deliver your marketing message on a global

scale?

Isn't it obvious that your core belief system is

pivotal in determining whether you'll make or break?

Let's take it even further, and look at the term

Internet Marketing.

Doesn't it make sense that anyone who is interested in

Internet Marketing should get the 'Marketing' bit

right first?

Nothing can be further from the truth though. People

fall prey to all the noise and clutter out there, and

start having thoughts like:

"There is no way I can make money online if I do not

have a website. It's even worse if I do not know how

to create one."

"I am a computer gonzo, and I only know how to use

Microsoft Word. Therefore, I will not be able to make

it on the Internet!"

"Search Engine Optimization confuses me. I am not a

geek. Therefore I will not be able to get traffic."

All these are solid examples of how complex

equivalence limits people's potential.

If you're reading this article, I'm pretty sure you

can identify with such falsities, and here's what I

recommend to eradicate complex equivalence once and

for all so that you can achieve the success you richly

deserve.

Reframe everything.

Reframing is a technique used in Neuro Lingustic

Programming, often dubbed the 'Science Of Achievement'.

In simple terms, it's basically to take another 'look'

at your thoughts, as it might give a whole new meaning

and dimension.

Let's take the false beliefs above and start reframing

them.

False Belief #1: "There is no way I can make money

online if I do not have a website. It's even worse if

I do not know how to create one."

Reframe: Not everyone who has a website makes money,

therefore it is NOT the website that is responsible

for bringing in money. I will examine if there is an

absolute need to have a website in order to make money

online, and if so, I will either learn how to create

one, or barter my services or products in exchange for

one to be created for me.

False Belief #2: "I am a computer gonzo, and I only

know how to use Microsoft Word. Therefore, I will not

be able to make it on the Internet!"

Reframe: There are many examples of people out there

who have made it online without being technically

competent. I know how to use Microsoft Word, and

because I can type, I have the ability to create

products by capturing my ideas in print, and I will

also be able SELL in print. This is three quarters of

the battle won.

False Belief #3: "Search Engine Optimization confuses

me. I am not a geek. Therefore I will not be able to

get traffic."

Reframe: There are thousands of ways to get traffic.

Search Engine Optimization is NOT the only way. Most

people use less than 5 methods to get traffic, many of

which are idiot-proof. I will use the most effective

methods out there to get traffic which do not require

me to be a techno geek. When I make enough profits, I

will hire someone to do all my Search Engine

Optimization for me.

With these examples, it's pretty clear to see how

crucial one's beliefs are, and you can either allow

them to limit you, or to spur you on to greater

heights.

You can choose success or mediocrity.

What's your choice?

Or do you need some reframing?

6. The Lighter Side of Life #2

Having arrived at the edge of the river, the fisherman soon realized he had forgotten to bring any bait. Just then he happened to see a little snake passing by who had caught a worm. The fisherman snatched up the snake and robbed him of his worm. Feeling sorry for the little snake with no lunch, he snatched him up again and poured a little beer down his throat. Then he went about his fishing.

An hour or so later the fisherman felt a tug at his pant leg. Looking down, he saw the same snake with three more worms in his mouth...

7. Are You Missing Out on 64% of Your Potential Profits?

It's pretty obvious, but over 64% of internet users perform searches and view websites in languages other than English. So, if your website is available only in English, you're missing out on a huge slice of your potential sales.

I've just found out about a new software product that can help here. Using Multilingual Marketer you can translate your website to 12 different languages quickly and easily.

Remember to paste your Google Adsense code on your web pages before translation. Google content spider will feed appropriate ads to your translated pages without changing the codes.

Not using Multilingual Marketer yet? You can get hold of it here:

http://www.e-bizresources.com/multilingualmarketer

-------------------------------------------

8. Free Downloads - Design Your Own Website.

(a) Frontpage Express: If you require a simple WYSIWYG program that will give you a webpage, then you'll like FrontPage Express. This is a great tool that you can use to do some basic design for your website. It works like Microsoft Word and is pretty easy to use. It's ideal if you're a total newbie to building a web page.

http://www.e-bizresources.com/freedownloads/fpex.exe

(b) Nvu (pronounced N-view, for a "new view") makes managing a web site a snap. Now anyone can create web pages and manage a website with no technical expertise or knowledge of HTML. (Dreamweaver, eat your heart out?)

And best of all, Nvu is Open Source, FREE to download and you can pass it on to others.

9. How You Can REALLY Make Your Living online.

I just wanted to give you a "heads up" about something that's coming soon.

You've probably heard of David Vallieres (he's very successful and pretty well known) and maybe you've heard of his 7 week online Fast Track To Success Course...

"How you can REALLY make your living online!"

At the normal price of $397 each, these courses usually fill up very quickly. In fact someone I know sent an email to his list of only 3000 people and had sold 20 spots within hours.

Now, I've been able to arrange a VERY special deal for you. You get a $200 discount on this much sought-after course. But you'd better reserve your place quickly, it'll probably fill up quickly. Go to:
